Boston Realty Advisors closed Friday on a $45.5M cash sale to The Hamilton Co. for the 126-unit Woodland Park apartment complex in Newton. The seller, Chatham Development, had owned the property since it was built in 1965. Jason Weissman, Nick Herz and Kevin Benzinger of Boston Realty Advisors led the sales and marketing efforts. “Due to the location and proximity to transit, this was a very spirited competition,” Weissman said. Woodland Park is near the I-90 and I-95 interchange and is walking distance to the Charles River and Riverside MBTA Green Line station. Hamilton’s acquisition comes as it develops 150 Camden St. by Northeastern University as well as properties along the Packard’s Corner corridor. “[Woodland Park] is a key acquisition given its condition and transit-oriented location,” The Hamilton Co. President Carl Valeri said in a statement. “These extremely well-built and maintained residences are a perfect fit for our company and our long-term growth strategy.”
