The Boston Redevelopment Authority is on the market for a new moniker. The Boston Globe noted that in a recent request for proposal issued by the BRA, the top priority in the BRA’s plan for a rebrand was a new name for the Authority.
The BRA asked consultants to answer “the best approach to exploring a new name for the BRA that better reflects its role and core functions.” Widely known in the Boston real estate market as the BRA, the new name could have a strong impact on the Authority itself.
Although, it certainly would help our oft-confused abbreviation at Boston Realty Advisors, the jury is still out on if a new name and a new brand will work in favor of the Boston Redevelopment Authority as they begin to build a new image.
Do you think the Boston Redevelopment Authority will in fact change their name in an effort to rebrand? What impact do you think this could have on the Boston Redevelopment Authority? Let us know in the comments section.
