The District Burlington is attempting to reinvent suburban office space, by transforming their development into a 24/7 mixed-use neighborhood.
In the center of the development is an 11-story building that has been thoroughly renovated and can be seen from Route 128. Along with the renovation there has been an additional four-story glass addition with an open floor plan and private roof deck.
One of the most recent openings in the development is the Experience Center, allowing potential tenants the opportunity to experience what it is like working at The District.
The center includes bright furnishings, creative layouts that encourage collaboration and all interconnect somehow. There is an area for corporate wellness including treadmills and core balance stools as well as sweeping, scenic views surrounding the building.
There are floor to ceiling windows, open floor plans and access to a private roof deck throughout the newly available spaces.
The existing buildings in the development are being upgraded with new lobbies, entries and plazas. There is also a new Marriott Residence Inn hotel on the site, as well as six new retail spaces. A number of restaurants are already open.
The whole surrounding area has been transformed to cater to pedestrians, with new widened sidewalks, bike sharing stations and outdoor seating.
The development is hoping to reinvent how people view suburban spaces and create a new and exciting live and work environment.
