Boston Business Journal reported that Bayer is moving an innovation center to Cambridge. This is just one of a few changes coming to the Cambridge area. Restaurants, office spaces, luxury buildings and now innovation spaces are altering the landscape of this neighborhood and Bayer is joining the move.

Lately, Bayer has been focusing on the pharmaceutical side of their business and selling other assets. One of the next steps for this includes creating an innovation center in Cambridge to partner with area biotechs. The location and size of the center are still under wraps, but this move is not unique to this area. Big pharma companies like Pfizer and Johnson & Johnson have developed similar spaces, further establishing Cambridge as a hub for innovation and biotech.
