Last week, ICSC held its annual New England Conference in Boston’s Hynes Convention Center. The three-day event, led by Jon Olinto and Chris Rondeau, covered fascinating topics in real estate with presentations including ‘Future Innovation & Technology’ and ‘Women and Real Estate.’
Boston Realty Advisors’ Managing Director & Partner Whitney Gallivan spoke on a panel featuring some of the most talented women in the industry; including Lisa Serafin, Co-Founder of Redgate, Brenna Jordan, VP of CVS Health, and Liz Holland, CEO of Abbell Associates.
Gallivan, a 15-year veteran of retail leasing, development, and investment sales touched upon the rise of fast casual and the increasing demand for entertainment-driven concepts in today’s retail ecosystem. Her experience in securing high-profile tenants such as Under Armour, Tesla, Madewell, Shinola and Warby Parker displays her extensive background in retail leasing strategies. Gallivan started her star-studded career in real estate working for a small firm run by her father. Now, she is in charge of the retail sector in one of the top boutique firms in New England. In order to promote diversity in the industry, Gallivan advocates for mentorship opportunities for young women interested in pursuing a career in real estate.
