Joe Wagner is a Managing Director on the Retail Team at Boston Realty Advisors, where he has been a key contributor since joining the firm in 2015. He specializes in retail leasing and sales, advising landlords and tenants across a broad spectrum of transactions.

Joe has played a significant role in several of Boston’s marquee retail projects, including The Newbury Collection (Jamestown), Faneuil Hall (Ashkenazy Acquisition Corporation), and High Street Place (The Rockpoint Group). On the tenant representation side, he has partnered with a range of prominent brands such as 7th Street Burger, Broadway Restaurant Group, Blank Street Coffee, gorjana, Maruichi Japanese Market, Moose Knuckles, Needham Bank, Semper Laser, The Shade Store, Suitsupply, MyStryde, Format Fitness, MUJI, Cameron Mitchell Restaurants, and Zuma.

His investment advisory experience includes orchestrating the $26.75M sale of 2 Newbury Street on behalf of Burberry, followed by representing the buyer, Stonegate Group, in securing luxury watchmakers IWC and Panerai at record-setting lease rates for the Boston market.

Before transitioning into commercial real estate, Joe worked in the tech sector, focusing on data analytics and business intelligence for San Francisco–based retailer Timbuk2. He holds a B.A. in Economics from Pitzer College, where he was a four-year varsity golfer for the Pomona-Pitzer Sagehens.

A Weston, MA native, Joe now lives in Boston’s South End with his wife, Jennie. Outside the office, he enjoys staying active and sharpening his Mandarin language skills.
